Stop copying listings by hand

If you've ever built a spreadsheet of Zillow listings by copying them one at a time, you know how long it takes and how easy it is to paste a price into the wrong row.

Real Estate Scraper is a Chrome extension that does that part for you. It reads the listings from the Zillow search you already have open and saves them as a spreadsheet. You get a file you can sort, filter, run your own numbers on, or send to a client.

How it works

Setup takes about a minute. After that it's one click per search.

  1. Install the extension

Add Real Estate Scraper to Chrome from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Pin it to the toolbar

Click the puzzle icon in Chrome, then the pin next to Real Estate Scraper, so it's always one click away.
  3. Browse Zillow

Search the way you normally do: by city, ZIP code, or on the map. The number on the extension icon shows how many listings it has collected so far.
  4. Click Download CSV

Open the extension and press Download CSV. The file goes straight to your Downloads folder.

What's in the spreadsheet

Each row is one listing. Depending on what the listing shows, you'll get columns like:

  • Street address, city, state, ZIP
  • List price or monthly rent
  • Beds and baths
  • Square footage
  • Property type
  • Listing status (for sale, for rent, pending)
  • Days on Zillow
  • Link to the listing

The file is a standard CSV, so it opens in Excel, Google Sheets, and Numbers.

Who it's for

Investors

Pull a whole ZIP code into a sheet and run your own math: price per square foot, rent-to-price, rough cap rate. Find the outliers without clicking through 200 listings.

Agents and brokers

Put together a quick comp sheet before a listing appointment, or keep an eye on what's coming on the market in your farm area.

Analysts and researchers

Save snapshots of an area over time for reports and market studies, without writing or maintaining your own scraper.

Your data stays on your computer

The spreadsheet is built right in your browser. The listings you export aren't uploaded to our servers, and you don't need an account.

FAQ

Do I need to know how to code?

No. If you can use Zillow, you can use this. There's nothing to set up beyond installing the extension.

Which websites does it work with?

Zillow.com.

Can I export rental listings?

Yes. It works the same way for homes for sale and for rent. For rentals you get the monthly rent instead of a list price.

Why are some cells in my file empty?

The extension only exports what's on the listing. If the seller didn't list square footage, for example, that cell stays blank.

Is this an official Zillow tool?

No. Real Estate Scraper is an independent project and isn't affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zillow.

Something doesn't work. What should I do?

Email us at extensionslab01@gmail.com with a link to the search you were on. Zillow changes its pages from time to time, and reports like yours are how we find out.

Who's behind this

Real Estate Scraper is built and maintained by the ExtensionsLab01 team. If you need a column that isn't there yet or something breaks, just write. We read every email and usually reply within a day.
